Andrea Giardini joined the Bologna office of Zunarelli – Studio Legale Associato in 2002 and became a partner in 2011.
He mainly works in the field of commercial law, with particular focus on maritime law, transport law and international trade law, as well as in the field of administrative law, infrastructure and public contracts, and real estate law, providing advice and assistance in litigation and arbitrations.
From 2014 to 2020, he served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001 for a leading company operating in the field of maritime and coastal works.
He is a legal expert regularly invited to the meetings of the Superior Council of Public Works (Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport), where he has taken part since 2011 in the activities of the Section on ports and maritime works, and since 2013 in the work of the General Assembly.
He graduated in Law at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna in 2002 with a thesis in Navigation Law entitled “Il regime giuridico dei servizi portuali”.
In 2006, he became a PhD in European Transport Law.
He attended a summer program at the London School of Economics focused on International Commercial Litigation and Arbitration.
He has been a member of the Bologna Bar Association since 2006.
Admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione) in 2016 after passing the examination at the Scuola Superiore dell’Avvocatura.
He regularly delivers seminars and speaks at conferences.
