The Stefano Zunarelli Association for the Promotion of the Right to Education was established in 2016 and pursues the following objectives:
Support the exercise of the right to education. Specifically, the STEFANO ZUNARELLI ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROMOTION OF THE RIGHT TO EDUCATION aims to:
– promote, directly or indirectly, deserving individuals' access to scholarships or other means of supporting the exercise of the right to education. For example, such promotion may be achieved by establishing and awarding scholarships, or by supporting public or private entities that wish to establish and award them;
– cover the costs of board and lodging for out-of-town students;
– provide textbooks;
– implement initiatives for school and university access and related investments, or support their implementation;
– carry out any other activity that promotes the exercise of the right to education by deserving individuals.
Projects are approved by the Board of Directors and are then implemented in groups or individually by members and/or non-members, depending on the Board of Directors' decisions;
To promote the exercise of the right to education among deserving individuals.
To enter into agreements and develop collaborations with universities and other academic or non-academic research centers, in Italy, Europe, and abroad, aimed at pursuing the objectives of the Stefano Zunarelli Association for the Promotion of the Right to Education.
Membership in the Stefano Zunarelli Association for the Promotion of the Right to Education is voluntary and requires the prior approval of the Board of Directors.
For natural persons, admission is based on an application from the interested party. Admissions of new members must be approved by the Board by an absolute majority.
For legal entities, admission is based on an application from the organization, accompanied by institutional administrative documentation. Admissions must be approved by the Board by an absolute majority.
For universities that, as public or private non-profit entities, wish to join the Association, participation must be in compliance with the applicable regulations (Article 91 bis of Presidential Decree No. 382 of July 11, 1980), subject to a prior approval by the Board of Directors.
The Stefano Zunarelli Association for the Promotion of the Right to Education operates through funding including:
from payments made by public or private entities or foundations operating in areas within the scope of the Stefano Zunarelli Association for the Promotion of the Right to Education;
from grants from third-party public and private entities.
Therefore, public and private entities may contribute to the Association's goals through monetary donations, to be made via bank transfer to the following account:

The making of such donations does not require prior authorization from the Board of Directors, nor does it imply membership in the Association.
In pursuing its institutional goals, the Association has implemented the following initiatives over the years:
a) It has announced and awarded two scholarships of €500.00 each for the purchase of books to two students enrolled at the University of Bologna who have certified their refugee status;
b) It has announced and awarded two degree prizes of €2,000.00 and €500.00, named after Professor Gustavo Romanelli and Professor Maurizio Riguzzi, respectively, to the two best graduates in Italy in Navigation and Transport Law;
c) It is currently opening calls for applications for: two scholarships of €500.00 each for the purchase of books to two students enrolled at the University of Bologna who can certify their refugee status; Three degree prizes of €750.00 gross each, named after Professor Gustavo Romanelli, Professor Gabriele Silingardi, and Professor Maurizio Riguzzi, to be awarded to the top three Italian law graduates in the fields of Navigation and Transport Law or Tax Law applied to Transport, who received their degree in the calendar year preceding the year in which the prizes will be awarded.

In 2019, the Stefano Zunarelli Association for the Promotion of the Right to Education, through a partnership with the Federtrasporti Group, established the Logtraining Association.
The purpose of this new association is to respond to the increasingly pressing need of freight transport and logistics companies to update and expand their employees' training and to bring new professionals into their organizations who have received adequate training, possess technical skills, and are strongly motivated to grow.

The Calicanto A.P.S. Amateur Sports Association is an organisation founded in Trieste in 2001 with the aim of promoting social integration through sport and cultural activities. Calicanto has been operating for over twenty years as a pioneer of inclusive sport in Italy, bringing together able-bodied and disabled young people in shared experiences of personal growth and education in mutual respect.
The association’s main activities include multi-sport, music and educational programmes for young people and adults with physical, mental and social difficulties in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Among the most significant projects are the basketball, volleyball, football and swimming teams, as well as the famous Calicanto Band, a musical ensemble composed of musicians with and without disabilities.
Through the experience of inclusive sport, Calicanto promotes awareness that diversity is a valuable resource and contributes to the formation of conscious and inclusive citizens.
