Federica Fantuzzi is a Senior Partner of Zunarelli – Studio Legale Associato.
She has been working in the Firm’s Trieste office since February 2006, where she also has a coordinating role.
Her main areas of practice are customs law, transport law and criminal law concerning offences committed in the course of business.
She advises and represents companies operating in the shipping, transport, logistics and port sectors both in and out-of-court.
She obtained her PhD in Criminal Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Trieste in 2008, with a thesis on offences against the family.
She is the author of several articles published in leading Italian criminal law journals and is a regular speaker at conferences and training events.
She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Mediocredito Friuli Venezia Giulia.
She is a member of the Italian Maritime Law Association (AIDIM) and a member of the International Propeller Club – Port of Trieste.
She graduated in Law with honors from the University of Trieste in 2003, with a thesis in Criminal Law entitled “Il tempus commissi delicti”.
She has been a member of the Trieste Bar Association since 2006 and qualified to represent clients before the Corte di Cassazione since 2019.

- Customs Law – VAT Warehouse
Defence of the manager of a VAT warehouse in proceedings relating to the dispute over the virtual introduction of goods into the warehouse. - Customs Law – Customs Classification
Assistance provided to companies importing food products into Italy in proceedings initiated by the Customs Agency for alleged incorrect classification of goods in customs bills. - Customs Law – Customs value of goods
Representation of a company facing allegations of under-invoicing of imported goods. The Customs Agency considered that the declared value for goods similar to those imported should be applied. - Corporate Criminal Law – Made in Italy
Defence of the legal representative of a company accused of marketing products of foreign origin with misleading indications of Italian origin. Following preliminary investigations, the proceedings were dismissed in acceptance of the defence's request. - Corporate Criminal Law – Maritime disaster
Defence of the director of a company that owns a motor vessel used for regular service, investigated following a maritime accident that resulted in the sinking of the vessel. The defence required specialist technical expertise and coordination with consultants to ascertain the causes of the sinking and the condition of the motor vessel.
