Between 26 and 30 October 2022 the 66th edition of the World Congress of the Union Internationale des Avocats will be held in Dakar, Senegal. Participants will be able to attend a series of discussions on topical subjects covering two main themes: “Governance of Mineral and Energy Resources in Africa and Beyond” and “Effectiveness and Relevance of our Judicial Systems”.
Alberto Pasino, together with Elena Giorcelli, will chair the joint session organized by the International Sale of Goods and the Transport Law Commission focusing on the topic “International Commercial Sales: Between Challenges in Contract Drafting, Transport Risks and Documentary Fraud”.
The joint session, which will take place on 29 October, starting at 9.30 a.m. (CET), will address the main legal issues affecting international sales of goods and their delivery, with a strategic, pragmatic and comparative approach. The debate will involve highly qualified practitioners from different jurisdictions who will discuss the main practical questions related to the drafting of sale contracts and transport documents. The aim of the session will be to explore the best practices in drafting effective contract clauses in international sales and transport contracts and to analyse evaluation approaches and tools for mitigating the several risks that may occur in international transactions.
