Through Circular No. 8777 of 5 October 2017, the Italian National Labour Inspectorate (INL) gave notice of the beginning on 9 October 2017 of an inspection campaign in the logistics sector that will last until 31 December 2017.
The inspections of the INL ‒ with the assistance of the Carabinieri ‒ will be directed at controlling the use of workers in the handling and storage of goods, with particular attention to the prevention of the misuse of the cooperative institution.
These inspections probably come in the wake of those already undertaken in the past years on couriers and their sub-contractors and/or depositaries.
In order to be able to validly counteract notices of assessment by the competent authorities, we suggest to check the texts of the contracts used by the Company and to analyse the actual performance of the service.
