The seminar “International protection and trafficking in human beings: the legal framework and instruments of protection” was held at the Aula of the Corte d’Assise in Trieste on 16 December 2016. The event was sponsored by ASLA – Associazione Studi Legali Associati) in collaboration with ASGI (Associazione per gli Studi Giuridici sull’immigrazione) with the participation of the Rotary Club of Trieste. Gianfranco Schiavone (ASGI Vice-president), lawyer Francesca Nicodemi (UNHCR consultant), lawyer Marco Paggi (ASGI partner) and, lawyer Livio Neri (ASGI member) were among the speakers. A debate moderated by lawyer Andrea Sonino (ASLA and ASGI partner) concluded the meeting. Alberto Pasino also spoke at the event as ASLA’s regional representative for Friuli Venezia Giulia.
