The business mission organized by the Russian Agency for the support to SMEs in partnership with the Russia Desk of the Firm was held in Trieste and Ljubljana from 26 to 28 October 2016. The event -through which the participating Russian companies met potential partners in Italy and in the neighboring Republic of Slovenia- enjoyed the support of BIC incubators, AREA Science Park, Confindustria Venezia Giulia, Spirit Slovenia, as well as of many professionals and entrepreneurs from Trieste and Slovenia who wanted to give their contribution to the event.
The Russian delegation, headed by Dr. Dmitry Chernov (Vice Director of the international department of the Russian Agency for the support to SMEs), Dr. Valentina Ilina (head of the Tula Regional Centre), Dr. Elena Reghinia (head of the Rostov regional Centre), Dr. Boris Dmitreev (representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Lipetsk) and accompanied by lawyer Andrea Piras, was able to meet more than a hundred Italian and Slovenian entrepreneurs and professionals and was also received by the Municipality of Trieste for an institutional meeting which was held in the municipal council chambers.
The mission ended with a meeting with Dr. Kirill Bobrov, Economic Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Slovenia, who congratulated the event organizers and confirmed the support of the Russian Government to small and medium sized enterprises.
