Avv. Alberto Pasino

Alberto Pasino has been a Partner of the Firm since its foundation.

Resident Partner of the Firm’s Trieste Office since 1996, in 2006 he started up – and still collaborates with – Zunarelli’s Office in Shanghai, where he lived for a long time.

He is a member of the Managing Board of the Firm.

He obtained his law degree from the University of Bologna in 1992, was admitted to the Trieste Bar Association in 1995, and qualified to represent Clients before the Italian Supreme Court in 2008.

His main areas of practice are maritime and transport law, commercial law, and litigation.

He has vast experience in Court disputes with regard to terminal operator liability, multimodal, sea and land transport, international freight forwarding, recreational boating and procurements.

He has been a member of the committee appointed by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructures and Transportation for the drafting of the 2005 Italian Recreational Boating Code.

He holds seminars at university and master degree courses on transport law, maritime law and international commercial law, and has published several articles on those subjects.

Alberto Pasino is an active member of several associations. He is a member of the National Executive Committee of AIDIM (The Italian Maritime Law Association) and of the Advisory Board of the journal Il Diritto Marittimo.  He is the President of the Transport Law Commission of Union Internationale des Advocats (UIA). He is the Friuli Venezia Giulia territorial representative of Associazione Studi Legali Associati (ASLA), and is the coordinator of its Transport Law Committee.

He is Vice-President of the International Propeller Clubs – Port of Trieste, of which he was President for nine years, and is a Member of the National Board of the International Propeller Clubs of Italy. He is the President of the Chamber Music Association (Società dei Concerti) of Trieste.

He appears in the 2020 Chambers Europe Guide as Notable Practitioner in “Dispute Resolution – Italy”.
